So I get a phone call this morning from one of my besties, BethaNie, who also happens to be my cuZin. She says "Just hangin in your favorite city, thinkin about you". Sigh..... I soO want to be there right noW!!! ( This pic is in The Haight, in one of our "spots".)
That's ok. cuz she will be moving to L.A. this year, and when she does, we will be hangin in San Fran together! Really missing BOTH today, as I'm pulling nails out of boards for my studio!!

A littLe wild vine that keeps coming up around our property.
One of my little cuKes.
Platform feeder my Man made from a cedar limb and old feeder that fell apart/
I put birdhouses on the corner posts of my garden.
A trEe house we built for the kiddos.
These draw birds in to the garden and they help catch the bugs ( especially the little wrens)!

This huge guy was on a rock my son put on his sand table. I was a bit afraid of him because of his size! He's almost the size of my son's Godzilla behind him!
sweet kisses...
Sometimes new life can look not-so-pretty, but pretty amazing! This is a Cicada, hatching out of it's shell.
This is who we refer to as our "dingo". Her name is Kunai ( Koo-Nie). A type of grass that grows in Papua New Guinea. She loves playing in our 'wet weather creek & pond!'
We found several of these guys on the property. Sometimes we keep them for a while, but always let them go. They like it here and have been here for years.
My youngest, Max with a little toad. One of my fave creatures!

A greAt tablescape
I took this shot when the table is almost done, but not quite. I added another platter in front, on the antique lace.
This dip is easy but takes a bit of time. You just dice sun dried tomatoes and place them into a mold. Then add any soft cheese and refrigerate! You might want to spray the mold with a light coating of olive oil first.
A great tablescape is actually not that hard. All you need is a theme ( which can be a color, idea, or a season ), and some different heights. I used buckets and a paint can under 2 tablecloths. I used black goblets to place the little pumpkins on. They are very cheap so you wont mind painting them white, as I did. This is one I did for the monthly gallery my Husband & I curate . It was October btw....
